What should I have ready?
Your postcode, roughly what has happened, and whether anything is still live or tripping. A photo of the fuse board on WhatsApp tells me more than a long description.
When will you call back?
Within the hour during working hours. If it is urgent, ring instead — the phone gets answered before the inbox does.
Can you talk me through it on the phone?
Often, yes. If it turns out to be a tripped breaker or a blown bulb, I will say so and you will not need me out at all.
